Our dream is for Aid in Action to be an organisation that helps others start their own developmental aid projects.
Our dream for Aid in Action in the future
Over time, our vision is that Aid in Action will act as a catalyst that will make it easier for individuals, schools, and other groups to use their available resources to start projects aimed at helping people in need. This is not restricted to Africa; it can also be projects for people in difficult situations here in Norway.
We’re helping you change the world
Our dream is that Aid in Action is going to be an organisation that helps others starting their own developmental projects. We believe in the power of the individual and wish to share our own experiences so that others can learn from these. We see that many want to become more involved in development aid, even more than giving monthly support to a sponsor child.
There are two options for how we can help you get started:
- Aid in Action Freeware: We share experiences and useful tools within project management, fundraising and accounting.
- Aid in Action Project: People wanting to start up their own developmental aid projects may use Aid in Action as their formal organisation; including useful tools such as accounts, logo, web page, etc.
You can take the responsibility for the finances of a project, or develop your own project in direct contact with our local collaborators.
On a roll
We’ve already come far with Aid in Action projects. We’ve had several project leaders who have taken the responsibility of financing and following up on projects.
Hedmarktoppen college has built their own children’s centre; a generous couple is responsible for the water supply to three villages, and some Harvard students (USA) have started a project for women in Uganda. We also have a couple that are getting married, and the wedding gifts they receive are financing the construction of a children’s house. Several corporations have also shown interest; one corporation bought a greenhouse for a primary school. Rune Kallan has started a school project in Zambia and is cooperating with Aid in Action for organisational support. This is our vision and dream of how we can make the world a better place with help from people willing to use their resources!
